Responsible for product feasibility from a tooling perspective.
Responsible for reviewing the tool manufacturing feasibility of the product. Weak steel, undercuts, uniform wall thicknesses, etc.)
Provide gate position, type, parting line, and ejection details according to product requirements
Review Mold flow analysis report & provide feedback such as - Maximum clamping tonnage, Sink mark, weld lines, Air trap, Warpage, etc.
Provide tooling inputs required for MF analysis such as Mold layout, Gate position, Cooling lines, etc.
Weak steel formation, parting line as per cad /Any changes required for production point of view
Lifter/slider position & sizes or local insert provision for future fine-tuning for vehicle fitment
Create proposals of product design to minimize tooling cost / Non-feasible to feasible features, cad change based on manufacturing feasibility for better product quality.
Participate in Cost of Tooling discussion on Tooling feasibility
Minimum Qualification required: Diploma.
Qualifications preferred: CIPET/ NTTF/CTTC/ IGTR etc.
Minimum 02 years of experience in manufacturing(Shop floor experience).
Well versatile with UG NX or SOLIDWORKS software.
